The Mill Pond Nature Sanctuary was purchased in 2021. The property consists of eight lakefront parcels with 2,117 feet of Walloon Lake frontage. Mill Pond helps to protect the water quality of the lake by acting as a filter for waters that drain into this headwater. This area is very ecologically fragile and consists of a variety of ecosystems ranging from wetlands to cedar swamps.
