Support the Conservancy

Since 1975, the Walloon Lake Trust and Conservancy has protected the natural beauty, character, and quality of lands and waters in the Walloon Lake watershed. We’ve preserved more than 2,000 acres, including 43 Nature Areas and Preserves, 20 permanent conservation easements, and over six miles (33,196 feet!) of shoreline and streams.

There are many ways to support the protection of the watershed and the Lake for all to enjoy.  The Conservancy welcomes annual contributions, one-time gifts to the Endowment or the Guardian Fund, lasting legacies through bequests, memorial gifts, and recurring monthly donations.

SUPPORT LONG TERM THROUGH THE ENDOWMENT FUND

In 1997, the Walloon Lake Trust received $100,000 from the Mary K. Peabody Foundation as a “kick off” for the Trust’s Endowment Fund. We continue to welcome gifts to the Endowment Fund from everyone who prefers to see their donation invested with the principal preserved in perpetuity.

The principal of the Endowment Fund is invested to generate income, which is used for operations and other activities of the Conservancy.

THE GUARDIAN FUND CAMPAIGN: Preserving the lake we treasure

The Guardian Fund Campaign was established to help protect critical land in the Walloon Lake watershed. Please join us in support of this annual giving campaign, as we strive to preserve the heart, the soul and the energy of Walloon. A gift — no matter the size — will make a difference. With your generosity, we honor our history and embrace future generations of Walloon Lake families.
