Wander Walloon Series
Our Wander Walloon hiking series is meant for most abilities and all ages to explore our preserves with Conservancy staff or volunteer guiding you along the way. Joining one of these events can be an easy introduction to a preserve, during which you’ll learn about the special features protected on the preserve.

Tuesday, August 15th 3pm: Cedar Valley Preserve — Join us for a summer hike to explore the birds that stick around with us! This Wander Walloon is in partnership with Petoskey Regional Audubon. No dogs are permitted on Audubon hikes. Preserve is located here.
Saturday, August 19th 11am: Waganakising Bay Day Water Festival — In partnership with Festival on the Bay this year, our conservation partners across the Little Traverse Bay (Waganakising) region join together to bring you family-friendly festival celebrating the importance of water to our lives. Wednesday, August 23rd 5:30pm: Indian Garden Nature Area — Local mushroom expert Mike Banyai will lead us through this beech-maple forest on the hunt for mushrooms! We’ll learn identification, how to search, and safe collection methods. Preserve is located here.
Thursday, September 14th 10:00m: Church Family Preserve– We’ll hike the grasslands and woods through this preserve, exploring off-trail. Preserve is located here.
