The Maplecrest Preserve was donated by the Lohrmann family in 2017. This property consists of mixed hardwoods and a hand-planted red pine stand. The preserve is on the very edge of the Walloon Lake watershed and is dominated by rolling hills and wide pathways. It is a wonderful habitat for deer, grouse, and rabbits and shares a corner with the Church Family Preserve.
